Things about Romance Junkies you might not know The site was started on Febuary 14, 2003. In the beginning we had seven authors and ten reviews. The staff is made up entirely of volunteers. Half the staff is made up of writers, some published, some working away at getting published. The site is run by Chaoscat and her husband Todd, who do all the webdesign work on the page. They also fund the site. The site is mostly a free promotional site with a view pay features like banners.These pay services help cover the cost of book postage. Whenever possible we try to get authors to send directly to reviewers or contest winners, but still we get books in and we have to send them out. One day hope to have the site make enough to pay for itself, but at the moment it runs at a loss. |
Info about what we offer (the authors ask about this all the time) If an author wants their book reviewed we try to hook them up with Teresa so she can get the name and address of a reviewer for the author. It saves us money if they send it directly to the reviewer. If they don't want to do that (none of the big publishing houses do) then the send the books to me and Chaoscat and she gets name and address from Gloria. If the books are in electronic format they can be sent directly to ebooks. We tell them the following Paper Book: Contact us and we will match your book with one of our reviewers.
