I learned that she was born in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) many years ago, at a time when the recently independent British colony still behaved socially very much like an outpost of the British Raj.

  8. Lindy

I agree with Stacey – and I think ALL authors should do that!!!

I like that she list the books in the order that you read them.not all authors do that then you get confused on witch one to read first.

Stephanie is honored by her home country

Stephanie was honored as ‘Most Popular Australian Romance Author for 2008’ at the Australian Romance Readers Convention, Feb, 2009.

  12. Linda Henderson

I like the color purple on her webpage. I also like the fact that she has the related books listed together. I always like to know if books are in a series before I start reading them.

  13. Lindy

I agree with the others who have noted the ease of using her book lists. I’ve got a printed copy that I use to check off her books that I own, and I especially love that you can easily see what book is next in the series.

  14. Mariee

The Elusive Bride is the 2nd volume in the Black Cobra Quartet and it’s coming out 26th January, 2010.

  15. Sherry Haut

She was born in Sri Lanka. That’s odd because my family almost moved there when I was in 9th grade.

  16. Ashley A

Stephanie started writing to escape the dry world of science , she was born in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), and has a Ph. D. in Biochemistry!! (WOW!!)

I like that the site is very easy to navigate and find series books – which I love. I also checked about her and found she was born in Sri Lanka and had an interesting move to Australia!

Stephanie is such an awesome author! I really like the video trailer on the front for Untamed Bride and I also like the second nav bar that is set up by series (each corresponding page is set up nicely too to tell about the particular series).

  19. Tracey D

She’s been reading romances since she was 13!

    Thanks,
    Tracey D

  20. Quilt Lady

I like the way she has her new books on her main page of her web site! She also moved to Melbourne, Australia at the age of five, I always love reading about the authors lives on their web page. The Untamed Bride sounds like an awesome read!

  21. Mary Ann J.

I love the way she has her books that are connected listed together. And I really like the tabs across the top that list each collection of books.

  22. Lisa G

I love the arrangement of books and the youtube video but my favorite part was the facts about Stephanie. What an exciting life she has lived. I love how they traveled from Katmandu to London. What great fun!!!!!

  23. Margay

I like the way she has pages set up for the series she writes. For instance, if you click on Cynsters, it will bring you to a page of books that are all connected to that family in some way – and numbers them, too! That way, you can keep track of what you read – and what you need to read.
    Margay

  24. JOYE

Stephanie has been writing for more than 20 years and is a New York Times bestseller

  25. Pam Keener

She ran out of Regency romances to read so she decided to write one herself.
    Love & Hugs, Pam

  26. Crystal B.

Stephanie Laurens was born in Ceylon. Her first published romance was Tangled Vines.
