Our Review

I always look forward to the holiday romances that become available during this time of the year. ANY GIVEN SNOW DAY by Marie Harte is a terrific addition to this popular genre. The eye catching cover immediately caught my attention. This story takes place in central Oregon, where high school football is a big entertainment draw to the 30,000 locals.

As a single mom and successful tea shop entrepreneur, widow Becca Bragg has a lot on her plate. Since losing her husband, Becca has devoted herself to her work and her teenage son, Simon. Simon may be only a freshman, but his football skills are way above average. His new football coach, former Super Bowl champion Mitch “Flash” Flashman, is a lonely man that lives in a luxurious home. Becca and Mitch share an instant attraction which evolves into much more between Halloween and Christmas.

Ms. Harte has become one of my favorite authors, and her novels are consistently sexy and exciting. This book is nicely written, and I adored the relationship Becca had with both her son and her cousin. I really liked Linda, a parent of one of the football players, because her selfishness and nastiness were so well depicted. Overall, this is a hot holiday read that can be enjoyed all year long.
