Our Review

Wendy Delaney brings in another winner with CRAZY, STUPID, DEAD. Book 7 of the Working Stiffs series set in Port Merritt, Washington brings back heroine Charmaine Digby, the human lie-detector who works for the DA, and her hot, hot, hot hunk of a boyfriend Detective Steve Sixkiller. The cast of zany characters also returns with Aunt Alice and Uncle Duke, Char’s actress mother, Marietta Moreau, Gram, her friends Rox and Donna, and local gossip Lucille, who all sets the stage for a fun page-turner.

Not only does CRAZY, STUPID, DEAD bring back all my favorite characters, but a bathtub drowning that was no accident. While Char smells murder, neither her boss nor hunky boyfriend believe it’s anything more than an accidental drowning.

While on the hunt for a killer, Char’s dud of a car takes its last breath, she locks horns with her mother, and comforts a pregnant Rox, but that’s all in a day’s work for our heroine. The ending is as sweet as it gets with Char in the arms of Detective Sixkiller.

Loved it from start to finish and can’t wait for book 8.
