Our Review

WIRED by Julie Garwood is a suspense novel featuring Allison Trent, hacker, model and software programmer, and Liam Scott, an FBI agent who has a leak and needs Allison to find it. She does, relatively quickly, perhaps too much so for the story. As a result of finding the leak, Allison attracts an enemy within the FBI. She also has relatives who take advantage of her, a cousin who continually breaks the law, and a roommate who steals her software program. There are plenty of people who want to harm her, and again, maybe too many plot lines here.

While there was definitely attraction between Allison and Liam, I didn’t feel it had the depth to make them three dimensional characters, and the sex scenes felt flat. But even saying all this, I kept reading and enjoyed the book, but was disappointed it didn’t have the depth to make it a truly remarkable read.
