Ann
Jacobs is a conservative middle-aged wife and mom with a secret wild spot she
indulges by writing erotic romance--but always romance, where the hero and heroine
go off together into the sunset. She began writing more years ago than she cares
to remember, was first published by Berkley in 1996. She moved to Kensington in
1999, and has since found her niche with houses that welcome the spicier side
of romance: Red Sage, Ellora's Cave and Changeling Press. When she isn't writing,
Ann enjoys spending time with her husband and children...along with meeting readers
at signings and conferences, traveling, and golfing with kids or friends. ******

and to Rangers new place-kicker

they realize theyre both into the BDSM lifestyle, those sparks burst into
flame. Shes into submission, hes into control
and theyre
both out to stop the serial killer before he strikes again.
After theyre
seen together by a prime suspect in an upscale dungeon, Darlene becomes a likely
targetand the perfect bait. Vlad has to do his duty, but hed gladly

So why
do you write erotic romance? Do you do all you write about?
Since these are the questions I get asked most often, I'll try to answer them
here. Before
I started writing, I read romance and sort of shook my head when authors slammed
the bedroom door shut and let me use my imagination. I got even more perturbed
when they didn't close the bedroom doors but described what was going on in the
purplest of purple prose. I said to myself, "Sex is an important part of
the relationship between a man and woman. I want the hero and heroine to experience
it--and I don't want to start laughing when I should be experiencing a much different
emotion, just because an author has referred to 'his rampant manhood' or 'her
dewy femininity'. Or worse! When
I started writing, I vowed to avoid purple prose and still write "hot,"
which got my NY books labeled as practically over the top sex-wise. I loved it
when Red Sage, Ellora's Cave and Changeling came along and encouraged me to expand
rather than suppressing my explorations of human sexuality. Now,
do I do everything I write about? I'll never tell! |
