a thirty-something wild thing at heart, with a passion for sensual romance and
a happily-ever-after
but always with a twist. A University of Arizona alumnus,
Chey has been writing ever since she can remember, back to her kindergarten days
when she penned her first poem. She always knew that one day she would write novels,
and with her love of fantasy and romance, combined with her passionate nature,
Romantica is a perfect genre for her. In addition to her adult work, Chey is also
published in young adult literary fiction under another name. Chey enjoys spending
time with her husband and three sons, traveling, working out at the health club,
playing racquetball, and of course writing, writing, writing.

 | Writing
is a part of my heart and soul, and it's difficult to separate it from my life.
I think about plot and characters all the time. Each character is unique to me,
like each person you meet is unique. So when you introduce to unique personalities,
the dynamics of that relationship are always different. No two relationships will
ever be the same, because no two characters will ever be the same. |

Q:
Do readers ever contact you and perhaps beg you to write a story for a minor character
they took a shine to? Cheyenne:
Most definitely! In the Wild Cowboys series they want to know more about Kev
Grand and Trace's old beau Harold "the Rock"; in the Seraphine Chronicles
they want to know about the relationship between Améa and the cop they
brought back from NYC, several of the Seraphine Elvin women and the blue Dwarf
king, and the dark faerie twins; in the Wonderland series they want to know Kalina's
story, and Kir, Lord of the cave-dwelling werewolves. It just goes on and on.
I'll never be able to keep up! |

I live in Arizona, and we don't have true fall and winter. We
definitely have summer, though, and it lasts from May until mid October. Even
now, it's late October, and we're still having 90 degree weather. It's
tough to choose a favorite time of year. I love spring with the renewal of life,
watching the birds, rabbits, and quail invade my front yard and mate, and then
it seems not much longer and there are babies all over the place. It's fresh,
everything is beautiful and blooming, and the air smells clean and fresh. I
also love the fall. Even though we don't have the changing of the seasons (what's
that? ;-) I can sense in the air when fall is finally here. It's a feeling, a
smell, a sense of anticipation. It's that holiday sensation when you have Thanksgiving
and Christmas coming up, and it's cinnamon and spice and nutmeg. |
