Mariah was born in Oklahoma but moved to Fidalgo Island off the coast of Washington state when she was sixteen. There she met her handsome husband Ed and lived happily ever after. She has two sons and one daughter and three granddaughters. She has been a beautician, a bass player in her husband's band for 20 years, an accountant, a business owner and a writer. Her favorite hobby is reading and she has read literally thousands of books over the years, romance being her favorite genre. She loves to take trips in the motor home, visiting her family and friends, writing reviews on the internet, and playing in the flower beds in the sunshine. Her first novel, REIVER'S PASSION was released June 2004 from Wings, and her second, THE GYPSY WITCH is available now from Wings.

Q:Congratulations on the debut of REIVER’S PASSION. Getting “the call” that it was sold must have been very exciting! What were you doing when you found out?

I was so excited when I got the e-mail from Lorraine Stephens at Wings. (I was sitting at my desk.) I recall doing a lot of screaming and dancing around the room. Ha! Running into the living room to tell my husband. He has always been so supportive of me so we had to hug over it.
