A Hint of Seduction
September 2004
Amelia Grey
A lie of convenience
Having just passed her twenty-first birthday, Catherine
Reynolds comes to London for the first time-on the pretense
of having a Season and making a match.
A whisper of scandal
But Catherine is actually trying to find out who her real
father is. She has three clues-three men listed in her mother's
journal. One of them is her father-and the man who broke
her mother's heart.
A spark of desire
When Catherine takes a spill from her horse in Hyde Park,
a handsome stranger is there to rescue her-a man who takes
what little breath she has away. But when she learns her
hero is John Wickenham-Thickenham-Fines, the Earl of Chatwin,
she is aghast. He could be her half brother. Now, her quest
is much more urgent. For truth could trounce love in this
dangerous game of chance.
The only thing Lord Chatwin knows about the mysterious
lady who outfoxed him is that she had the face of an angel,
the tongue of a shrew, and the heart of a thief. Was she
someone's wife, a gentleman's mistress or just a mischievous
miss?

Why I love my Job by Amelia
Grey
 |
I love my job! I love
to write and I write what I love. Romance novels. I have
an incredible excitement about my work. I look forward to
going to the computer each day and letting my imagination
take flight with characters, conflicts, love and emotional
drama. |
Even though I enjoy my work, I treat
it like a business. My writing time is very important to me,
and I don't let too many things distract me when I'm writing.
I don't sit around waiting for inspiration to come to me. I
go looking for it.
I enjoy the control I have in developing
my characters when I give them their names, the color of their
hair and eyes, their age, their personalities and their faults.
I work at getting them into trouble so I can have the challenge
of coming up with ways to get them out of it.
God gave me a whole lot of desire to
write. He gave me a little bit of talent and along the way I've
learned the skill of putting a book together to create an enjoyable
read. I feel extremely blessed to be published in romance.

Q: As a newlywed, one major culinary
disaster?
I never really cared for the taste of
salt in food so I decided one day not to salt the potatoes or
green beans. My husband was not happy, but guess what-over the
years he has learned to eat without salt!
Q: Are you a last minute
"company coming" cleaner? Or can guests drop in t a
moment's notice and find everything neat as a pin?
Now this is funny. My house is always neat
as a pin, but please do not come without calling me! I hate drop
in company. If you are coming I want to expect you so I can comb
my hair and put on my lipstick! And I'll chill a bottle of champagne
too! So call first.

| I grew up near the beach
in Florida and the heat has never bothered me. I like the
scorching hot days of summer when there is just a hint of
a breeze in the air to ruffle my bangs. I enjoy wearing
tank tops and short shorts and walking barefoot in the warm
sand. I like the smell of the salty ocean and to hear the
squawks of the seagulls and pelicans when they fly overhead.
It brings a smile to my face to see the sunshine sparkling
off the rushing blue water. At night I love sit on the balcony
of my high rise condo with glass of red wine in hand and
look up at the big magnolia moon in the Southern sky and
watch its moonbeams glimmering across the water. |
