How I love me my Bones

Now after being gone the time that I have let me say that it is good to be back. Almost done with the thesis…can I get a what-what? lol.

So in writing the thesis and getting back to writing (thank you big man in the sky for that chance) I’ve been watching Bones. Now to some people they arent really into the show, but to this little chica-dee here, I’m all into the Fox Show

To those that don’t know, the show is about Forensic Anthropologist Temperance Brennan and Special Agent Seeley Booth. I am for one a huge fan of these two. They are yin and yang, fire and water, Bones and Booth. lol. So in watching these shows I am going through the four seasons with much delight and heavy tension building love for my two favorite characters.

There are certain shows that do it for me. You know shows that I will not miss and I dont care if I have an exam in the morning. I must watch to have my world spin oh so nicely on its cute little axis.

Here are some of mine:

a. Psyche – One word for you; pineapple. LOL.
b. Medium – Yes I believe! The best married couple on TV!
c. Bones – I am a die hard Boothie Fan!!! Long live the nerds out there! Go Brennan!
d. Burn Notice – Michael Westin has so many helpful hints lol.
e. Cold Case – Great soundtracks they use!
f. N.C.I.S – Gibbs is aweeeeesome!
g. Law and Order: Criminal Intent – How can you NOT love Gorem and Eames?
h. House – Yes he is fabulous
i. The Closer – I totally sympathize with Brenda…..and her love of sugar lol.

Do you have a show like that? Hmmm any suggestions are recommended. Currently I am trying out Harper’s Island. We shall see what the consensus on this is. Hmmmmm

Lol.

Keep on writing!

Thank you so much for writing your favorite shows guys. As I watch Psyche I hold a pineapple to you!

  8. Maureen

The Closer and Cold Case are two of my favorites and I just started watching Castle which is very enjoyable.

  9. Cheryl McInnis

I’m not a big fan of scripted television…I haven’t really watched anything since Friends, lol. But I need my Daily Show and Colbert Report fix every evening from Monday to Thursday or else I’m suffering from comedy withdrawl!

We’ve got some shows we just love, too, but we never catch them in the current season — we’re always getting our favorite shows from Netflix. What in the world did we do before Netflix? LOL! πŸ˜‰

I agree with your list and would add (at least) Monk, Criminal Minds, and Numb3rs for sure, probably a few more that I’m forgetting. Mad Men – dying for that to be on DVD and I’m planning to get my husband hooked on Without A Trace. πŸ™‚

I haven’t had a tv in years but reading about the different shows makes me wish I had seen some of these series. On the other hand, it sure is easier to get the kids to go to bed on time since they can’t complain that it is in the middle of an episode that they are watching.

I satisfy my craving for stories, interesting plots, and heroes and heroines through my reading, now. But reading this post and all of the comments makes me wonder if I am missing out on too much.

Love House he’s so bad lol. Also anything on the hgtv i like. And dog the bounty hunter cracks me up for some reason. Could be cause he comes across as one tough dude but is always crying onthe show.

  13. Cathy M

I see my favorites here, great list. I like So You Think You Can Dance too for summer time.

  14. Pam S

I have to admit I have never watched Bones, though I am tempted to rent/buy them from the first and start watching.

I don’t watch many t.v. shows regularly, I am more of a movies person. I have been loving the Moonlight episodes showing on Sci-Fi, and I try to catch Ghost Whisperer and CSI NY.

I have been reading more in my free time though vs t.v. lately :)!

  15. Lexee

I love NCIS. Maybe you should try In Plain Sight. It comes on on Sundays on USA channel. It’s a about Witness Protection. It’s really good. It’s one of my favorites.

  16. MarthaE

We do not watch much TV – just lots of movies! But I have read all of Kathy Reichs’ Temperance Brennan books! We watched “24” for a couple of seasons. And I did want to watch Leverage but haven’t seen that yet. I do like forensic shows like CIS which I watch once in a while. Usually I am busy reading!

  17. Joyce

I love a lot of the same shows. I also enjoy

In Plain Sight~Mary’s life and relationship with her co-workers are fun to watch.

  18. Pamela Keener

OH Yes how could I forget Monk & House.

  19. Pamela Keener

The Biggest Loser: I love to see the transformations
    Law & Order SVU
Cold Case: I agree the soundtracks are amazing
    Without a Trace
    Grey’s Anatomy

I have a confession to make: I have never watched ‘Bones’. But, the more I hear about this show, the more I believe I’ll put the DVDs on my Netflix list and start watching them this summer.

My favorites are similar to those mentioned and can’t wait for the new summer seasons to begin for Burn Notice, Leverage, Mad Men, The Closer, and Raising the Bar. I’m also looking forward to watching 2 new programs ‘Royal Pain’ and ‘HawthoRNe’. Both sound good. Of those programs already on, I love Law & Order: CI and In Plain Sight.

Other programs I really enjoy are: NCIS, CSI: NY & CSI (Las Vegas), Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Mentalist, Flashpoint, Numb3rs, Castle, The Unit, Desperate Housewives, Little People Big World, Lost and the list goes on!

There are several programs on HBO & Showtime that I love but since I don’t have those channels, I have to wait for the DVDs to come out. Love, love, love Dexter, Weeds and Big Love. I’m sure there are more, but can’t remember right now.

I never watch sit-coms or reality shows…hate those!

  21. Debby

I am not a big TV fan. I do enjoy Masterpiece Theatre – Mystery. They just started a new one. They are very good.

  22. Andrea

I didn’t see anyone offer up what I feel to be the best show currently on TV….”Fringe” has filled that sad little hole in my heart that was made when “The X-Files” left the air. The season finale this past week was simply amazing! πŸ™‚ I’m just thrilled this is such an original show. I hate “reality” TV (super lame stuff…ugh), anything with the letters “CIS” (in any order I might add…lol!), and anything that’s too soap opera-ish.

I must add that I can’t wait until mid-June when “True Blood” comes back on for season 2! Eric the vamp is soooo “hubba hubba”! πŸ™‚

  23. Kim S

    I am so hooked on;

The Big Bang Theory; the guys just put such a wiggle in my giggle!!
    Survivor; buuuuhhhbyeeee, Coach!!
Bones; I’ve been reading the books from the beginning. Love Kathy’s writing! And I never saw what was so special about David…..whoooaaa boy, do I now!!
48 Hours; Love the mystery each week.
    CSI:LV; Goodness….the original??!! The BEST!!
    Medium; *sigh* Joe!!!
Harper’s Island; Woweee, love this show!! Can’t wait to find out who’s getting offed each week!!

  24. RobynL

I love Survivor, The Amazing Race, House, CSI:Miami, 24. All great shows and some great actors/actresses.

  25. Pam P

I watch all on your list except Pysche, just couldn’t get into that one. I also don’t miss 24, Lost The Unit, Army Wives and Numbers, and liked the quirky cop on Life (canceled now I heard). I recently started watching In Plain Sight, that’s a good one. Now I loved Nathan in Firefly but Castle is just okay for me.

  26. Kathleen

I love Gibbs….and you are right is so sexxxxxxxxxxxxxxy..I also have just started to watch Castle, he is so so smooth and delightful and I love the interaction with his mother and daughter. You have to love a guy who lives with is daughter and his mother………..

  27. Sherry H

My must see tv is American Idol. We are huge Kris fans!! I haven’t gotten attached to anything else since Jericho. Usually if I like something that’s the kiss of death for the show.

  28. Carol M

I think my favorite show on the air right now is House. I also enjoy Medium and I’m looking forward to the new Psyche and Monk shows when they start. Sometimes I watch Ghost Whisperer and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Mostly I spend my evenings reading. πŸ™‚

  29. Willie Walter

Ack! I forgot Castle!!! Dang, I hope Nathan Fillion will forgive me. I’ll be happy to make it up to him…

(Oh, and in case my name throws you, I’m a “she.” Sometimes I forget to make that clear when I start drooling over men. LOL)

  30. Willie Walter

You’ve hit my three of my favorites: House (love, love, love the House/Wilson bromance); Bones (love everything about that show–well, I’d be happier if Zach was still there every episode, but…); and Psych (the Shawn/Gus bromance is one of the best ever).

I’ll ditto Chaoscat on In Plain Sight. I haven’t seen every episode yet, but I’ve really enjoyed the ones I have seen.

And just ’cause I’m a big bromance junkie, I must give a shout out to Scrubs. “It’s guy love…” πŸ™‚

  31. catslady

My newest favorite show is Castle – love it – and besides he’s such a hunk, he’s and author!!!!
    NCIS
Lie to me (another new one)
    Survivor
    Dancing with the Stars
    American Idol
    CSI

  32. Cat Brown

How could I forget leverage!! That show rocks. Always been a big Timothy Hutton fan. πŸ˜‰

  33. Cat Brown

Okay your list is very close to my own. We must have the same taste in shows πŸ˜‰
Psyche – Bust me up. Love whenever they see something spooky they scream like seven year old girls and run for the hills πŸ˜‰
Medium – Agreed. Think he is one cool hubby.
Bones – Love how bones just comes out with inappropriate conversation in any social setting. And how yummy is Booth?
Burn Notice – Love the relationship between the two. Dig the girlfriend is an action diva.
N.C.I.S – Love Abby. Totally am jealous of many of her t-shirts. πŸ˜‰
Law and Order: Criminal Intent -Gorem rocks. Todd got me hooked on this one. I watch reruns while working.
The Closer -Love brenda. She can be tough when needed but sometimes falls apart over the funniest things. Like when the cat was sick.

Now I would add to my list: Smallville, In Plain Sight, Mentalist, and GhostHunters.

    Chaoscat

  34. Mila Ramos

    Well hi there Elle,

No I haven’t seen Leverage, but must give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation! And what did you think about that season finale huh?

    Good stuff await.

  35. Elle Parker

OH fun! My entire family are Bones fans, and we make a family TV night out of it. My son and I also started reading the book series that the show is based on, and it’s very good.

As for new ones for you to try? Leverage. You’re missing out if you haven’t seen it. It’s so fantastic.
