Our Review
I find it interesting that Forever publishes a book and very often includes a bonus story or novella so that you get two books in one. (Sometimes it’s a new author and other times it’s an author I’ve read before. Either way, it enhances my reading pleasure.)
A COWBOY FOR CHRISTMAS is the sixth book in the ROCKY MOUNTAIN RIDERS series. I’ve previously only read a novella in this series, but it was nice to be back in Topaz Falls, Colorado, a small town with a big heart. The story has a nice flow to it and can easily be read as a standalone novel.
Darla has many secrets she’s kept from her friends. She’s a very giving person with a lot of insecurities. She and Ty get along really well as friends, fake fiances, and more. He and his brother don’t get along until there’s a shift in their dynamic. And Ty’s family adds a nice bit of levity to counter the deeper emotions in the book. A wonderful cowboy romance to make your holiday sizzle.
R.C. Ryan’s novella, A COWBOY’S CHRISTMAS EVE, is a quick and fast-paced read that left me wanting more. It’s book 2.5 in the MALLOYS OF MONTANA series, and I look forward to reading more in this series.
The small town clinic gets a lot of visitors, especially on Christmas Eve. Anita stays behind in case anyone needs help due to poor weather conditions. There are a variety of illnesses/help needed as well as an unwanted visitor. Good thing Colin is sent to the clinic to pick up Anita and bring her back to his family’s ranch for dinner since her uncle is already there. Anita and Colin have chemistry that might be the perfect present on Christmas Eve. A fun read that brings holiday cheer. I have added Colin’s nephews’ books—MATT, LUKE and REED—to my always growing TBR pile.
