A POISONOUS PAGE by Kitt Crowe is book 2 in the Sweet Fiction Bookshop Mystery series.

There’s another death in Confection, Oregon, but only Lexi and the Macaroon Book Club (of the Sweet Fiction Bookshop) suspect it’s murder. When a second body is found in her friend’s backyard, and he’s accused of murder, Lexi, Cookie—her faithful companion— and the Macaroons are on a mission to find the real killer. 
 
Two prominent townspeople have been murdered without leaving a trace of evidence on the scene. Add to that, the irritating but hunky detective, Chad Berg, keeps showing up to keep Lexi and the Macaroons in line.
 
I love this series, all the secondary characters, and particularly the no-nonsense detective (also known as Mt. Bachelor!), Lexi’s love interest. I couldn’t put this book down and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
