Our Review

Sierra Jones is making what she thinks will be a brief stop at Sullivan’s Crossing to visit with her brother, Cal, and his new bride, Maggie. Sierra isn’t sure where her life is going since spending the last nine months in rehabilitation.

In finding Sullivan’s Crossing as a great place to get her head back into living on her own, Sierra soon bonds with Sully, Maggie’s father and the owner of the campgrounds. Sully offers her a cabin in exchange for her help running the small store and keeping the garden he has planted in good shape. Sierra gladly takes the offer and finds some AA meetings in the area, plus a new sponsor.

Meeting local fireman Connie and becoming close to him is not in her plans, as Sierra has trouble with picking the right men, so she has sworn off them. Connie has bad luck with women as well, but he wants to get to know Sierra better. Sierra doesn’t want to share all her many secrets with Connie but when her past comes looking for her she knows she has no choice.

ANY DAY NOW is the sequel to WHAT WE FIND, which started our journey to Sullivan’s Crossing. It is a rustic campground at the Colorado and Continental Divide crossroads that welcomes everyone from hikers to rock climbers, or someone just looking for a relaxing time of fishing on the lake. It is a thought-provoking place, where people can laugh and love their surroundings for a time. I loved Robyn Carr’s Virgin River series and I am excited about our new place to find new characters, and to learn about the lives of the people who inhabit Sullivan’s Crossing. Another location I want to visit thanks to Robyn’s colorful descriptions.
