She doesn’t want this to be her last rodeo. Her boss, Detective Booth, corrals up all the agents and informs them to tail Tara. No agent will die on her clock! Plus, she asks Tara to take on a particular case involving a rental con artist who swindles people out of deposit money.
Whew! Can Tara tackle a scumbag scam man, out run devious criminals with murder on their mind, while planning the wedding of her dreams? Or is this blip on her radar to be her last? Macho guy Nick devotedly declares that his bride-to-be shall remain damage free. So, Nick sticks to Tara like glue. Oh yeah! Will they find the murderous stalkers before they can say, “I do”?
DEATH, TAXES, AND A SHOT GUN WEDDING is a real blast! Literally, because someone is aiming to kill Tara. Sadly, this is the last sizzling, saucy adventure in the Tara Holloway series. What a bummer because I will sure miss the whole charming cast. Ms. Kelly is amazing as always and pens a last installment chock full of credible characters, clever clues and chuckles galore. This series has it all, romance, revenge, suspense, explosive action, dangerous criminals, humor, a likable cast and mind-boggling cases to solve. What a perfect send off to the whole series with Tara tying the knot to her rockin’ sexy fiance’ Nick. This last book is brisk, edgy, and filled with all the I.R.S agents, family, friends along with appearances and references to all the criminals in past cases. DEATH, TAXES, AND A SHOT GUN WEDDING is spiked with intoxicating risks, deception, smart alecky-dialogue, and peppered with wild, hootin’ fun! A tequila sunrise salute!
