DOG FRIENDLY is an extraordinary story dealing with job burnout and a refreshing romance. It stars Morgan Pearce, a pretty veterinarian who is wiped out from job fatigue. She collapses at work, so her boss insists she take time off. When her favorite client’s ask her to watch their elderly dog and their Nantucket home while they are away, Morgan says yes! She is seriously depressed and stressed from dealing with bullies, raging clients and more. Hopefully, the fresh sea air and change of scenery will do her good.

However, Morgan is persuaded to foster a special needs dog. Also, a local animal rescue group is having a fundraiser, and she is talked into joining and helping out. She just wanted to relax! However, time spent with the dogs and the ladies is working its charm and she is starting to unwind.

Then, a buff surfer guy, Nathan, a health drink promoter, hits on her. Wow! Morgan is shocked and secretly pleased that a man finds her sexy. Nathan’s attentions boosts her ego. Lunches with him, surf lessons and real dates, turn into a wonderful summer affair. Only are his affections the real deal?

Cute dogs, island sunshine, beautiful beaches, a handsome man, depression and more populate Ms. Schade’s fantastic new book, DOG FRIENDLY. Morgan is seriously depressed from working long hours as a top veterinarian. An invitation to a sunny island is just the ticket! Morgan is magically refreshed as she walks dogs, meets a terrific guy, makes friends, and spending time away from her job does the trick.

Does Morgan come to grip with the realities of her job, realizes she needs support and make changes in her life? This is a fantastic story that handles depression and the scary aspects of a high profile veterinarian job. The author doesn’t pull any punches at what can happen if not treated seriously. The atmosphere is lightened by romance, adorable animals, and good friends. An overall highly entertaining read, that I loved! DOG FRIENDLY is a barking good time!
