LOVE LETTERING is a hip, modern romance that will leave you incredibly inspired. Ms. Clayborn’s intrepid star, Meg Mackworth, is every bit the quintessential hand lettering artist of planners in New York City’s Park Slope district. She also designs wedding programs. Her newest clients, Avery and her fiance’ Reid Sutherland, want her to design their program, but Meg’s intuition is so spot-on, it’s uncanny, that their marriage isn’t meant to be. She slyly slips in a word of warning in the wedding announcement she designs. A year passes and eagle eye Reid spots the word and is floored that Meg foresaw his future wedding failure. How did she know?

Reid is a mathematical genius and a classically handsome man. He stops in and confronts Meg about the word he deciphered in the program. Meg swoons inwardly over Reid’s close proximity to her. After her first introduction to him long ago, she dreamed of meeting him again. Now, here he is in the flesh! How can she prolong this meeting? Maybe offer a friendship of sorts? That’s when it hits her, to unclog this creative block she has going on with her work, get Reid to accompany her on a quest around the city! Will it work? Actually, they become friends and before long it develops into something more. Will love triumph or does an unforeseen event threaten to derail their blossoming relationship?

The story is refreshing, inspiring, and extremely creative, as a woman searches for love and understanding over a design mishap in a wedding announcement. The author’s knowledgeable use of lettering fonts and artist skills turned a romantic story into a work of art. I felt like I was reading the holy grail of the lettering world! I never had a story give me the chills like this one did, because it is so spectacularly fantastic! Actually, I didn’t want this gem of a story to end! LOVE LETTERING will leave you with feeling that you are about to discover something fabulous.. A champagne toast to the story of the year!
