Running a flower shop in Cupid’s Bow and raising a set of pre-school triplets, Lily, Daisy and Iris, keeps divorced mom Megan very busy…too busy to have a personal life. As a reminder of what she is missing, all she has to do is watch her next-door neighbor, bachelor firefighter Will, whose girlfriends come and go at all hours. As a result, any communication between the two neighbors is fractious at best. However, when the sexy firefighter pleads for her help with a small baby boy, Megan cannot tell him no.
Since his fiancée dumped him, Will has been enjoying the single life, hiding his heartache behind a multitude of dates. But when a five-month-old baby boy is left on his doorstep, while the mother seeks help with her addiction, his first reaction is to turn to his mother. But with two weddings to plan, she has no time for him. After seeing how well his next-door neighbor handles her three little girls, he decides to approach her and fortunately, she takes pity on the baby as well as the clueless man.
Suddenly, Will is picking out a tree with Megan, taking the kids to see Santa and discovering that he likes being a family man. As for Megan, she is beginning to see that she misjudged Will, but even as she recognizes his redeeming qualities, she also reminds herself to guard her heart. Can Will convince Megan that he is ready to put his bachelorhood behind him and enjoy a future with her and the girls?
A sweet, small town romance, THE CHRISTMAS TRIPLETS, the third book in New York Times bestselling author Tanya Michaels’ CUPID’S BOW, TEXAS, series, is a heartwarming, sexy contemporary tale that will leave you sighing and longing for another visit to Cupid’s Bow. Readers will fall in love with the three young girls. Each one is unique, having their own temperament as well as individual likes and dislikes. Watching Will take care of a baby is also a hoot. Although the children are often present, Will and Megan do manage to find a few sweet stolen moments together. They are wonderful together and I couldn’t help rooting for them.
The small town setting, Christmas, children, humor, engaging characters, romance and love combine in this deliciously entertaining story that I hated to see end. This is the first book in this series that I have read, so I can easily attest that it can be read as a standalone. However, it has whet my appetite for the rest of the collection, which includes FALLING FOR THE SHERIFF, featuring Will’s brother Cole, and FALLING FOR THE RANCHER. I love Will’s two brothers and cannot wait to revisit them and the rest of the residents in Cupid’s Bow, Texas. A charming tale, THE CHRISTMAS TRIPLETS is a great way to get into the holiday spirit.
