Our Review

Haylee Blossom Fitzgerald and Kaylee Blossom Fitzgerald are identical twins right down to the same DNA. Their clothes, their toys, their friends, along with the number of letters in their names have to be the same. Their mother is obsessive about how they must think alike, if one of them gets a cut, the mother makes a cut exactly the same on the twin. They can’t go anywhere separately and are home schooled.

When the girls get to go to a real school with normal kids, the twins start to act differently. Haylee wants to be different than Kaylee. She dislikes looking in the mirror and seeing her sister. Getting into the dating game is a world their mother never prepared them for. Haylee wants to learn about sex and Kaylee doesn’t.

Haylee’s mind has turned to the macabre and she will use it to have her way. Deceiving her mother is easy for her and hating her sister becomes commonplace.

The strange twist at the end of this novel will have you holding your breath, anticipating the evil one twin can do to another in the next book. V.C. Andrews’ stories live on even after her death.
