WE WERE ON A BREAK is an engaging tale about a relationship on the rocks. Olivia Addison, a gorgeous, vivacious veterinarian is in a daze. Her boyfriend, Adam, informs her while they are on vacation that he wants to cool things off for a while. What the heck? Liv is shocked, especially when she thought he was going to propose. What went wrong?
Life sure is confusing! Liv is alternating between bouts of anger and crying. Adam broke her heart. Adam is just as confused and doesn’t know what to say or do to make things right again. Will Liv be able to handle all the changes in her life? Do Adam and Liv get back together or will they go their separate ways?
WE WERE ON A BREAK is a humorous, spirited read that is filled with romance and a whole lot of awkward moments that catapult into a splitsville chasm. How do you deal with a boyfriend that says let’s split for a bit? Veterinary surgeon Liv is astonished to say the least! Adam is acting like a rude dude and Liv is uncertain whether she wants to go back to him. The author, Ms. Kelk, does a fantastic job of explaining all the pros and cons in a relationship from both the man and woman’s point of view. Liv’s friends are absolutely divine and add depth to the story. Ms. Kelk infuses her trademark charming humor, creating a story that sparkles. There are emotional highs and lows, lots of drama, interesting subplots and trouble afoot. Be prepared to laugh a lot! I was anxious to see if Adam and Liv ever got back together. I spent many nights reading into the wee hours of the morning reading this fun chic lit novel! WE WERE ON A BREAK is about a relationship that went kaput. A definite hoot!
