Our Review
Demon slayer extraordinaire Lizzie Brown-Kallinikos returns to her hometown in Georgia. She discovers her adopted mother possessed by an unfamiliar entity. To save her mother, Lizzie reluctantly relies on the enigmatic spirit she and the biker witches encountered in New Orleans. When the spirit double crosses her, Dimitri and the witches scramble to find a way to save Lizzie and her unborn children. Will Lizzie’s biological father hold the key to defeating the ominous spirit? Or will she and her unborn children be its latest victim?
For all Lizzie’s strengths and abilities, she is still susceptible to doubts and uncertainties like any other person. I like that she finds more supernatural creatures to deal with than just demons and zombies. This new obstacle requires her to not only depend on her husband and the biker witches but on a person she’s not too fond of too. But, what I admire the most about Lizzie is the lengths she willingly takes to save her mother, no matter the opposition.
I did not believe it possible to fall even more in love with Dimitri. He may not understand the biker witches’ brand of magic, but that does not stop him from helping them prep for their spellcasting, especially if it is to aid or protect Lizzie. But, what I adore the most about Dimitri is how he always has Lizzie’s back, ready to fight beak and claw anything that threatens her.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOUR DEMON SLAYER IS EXPECTING is book eight in Angie Fox’s paranormal series, THE ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER. The biker witches with their unorthodox escapades makes the story entertaining to read as always. I love anticipating what those wild and rowdy ladies will do and say next.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOUR DEMON SLAYER IS EXPECTING is a fun yet heartwarming story of family and the sacrifices some are willing to make to protect them. I wonder what the author has in store for Lizzie, Dimitri, and the biker witches.
