WISHING IN ROME by Jennifer Skully is the second book in the Once Again series.

Dana Shaw has been through a messy divorce, then she loses her best friend, Carol. Carol’s final wish for Dana is that she take the trip to Italy they’d planned and have a holiday fling with a young Italian. But instead, Dana meets Marshall Garrison, an American who happens to live in the Bay Area the same as Dana, and they become friends.

From the moment Marshall sees Dana, he falls for her, only he doesn’t believe in love or long-term relationships. But Dana is different. She’s the only woman who’s ever been his friend and lover.

With plenty of clever twists in the plot, Jennifer Skully nails the mature romance. A fully enjoyable read.
