Our Review

In this second book in the MORGAN BROTHERS RANCH series, Blue Morgan has returned to the ranch after getting out of the Marines. Blue left home when he was eighteen to get away from his big brother Chase. You can find Chase’s story in the first book of the series, titled THE RELUCTANT COWBOY.

Blue Morgan never thought he would look forward to being on horseback and out in the fresh air after growing up that way, but he is tired of having people holler at him and being shot at. Blue and his brother Chase have settled their differences from the past and are working together to get the family ranch back in the black.

Jenna McDonald is the new veterinarian in town and is willing to work with Blue to buy some good horses for their new guest ranch venture. Jenna has heard all about Blue and his love for the ladies. She doesn’t need that in her life, but there is a definite spark between her and Blue. She must find a way to resist him, which proves harder than she thought.

Blue is used to barking orders and people listening, but that isn’t working with Jenna. She has always been told by her adoptive parents what she should do, and she is ready to decide how her life will be on her own. The disagreements Blue and Jenna entice you to turn the pages to see how they come out.

This story features a family hoping to get along and help to make their grandmother’s ranch into someplace they can all be proud of. Learning all their stories and trying to find their mother and sister, who disappeared years ago, keeps this storyline going strong. I look forward to the next book in this series.
