Faye Hall's Amorous Redemption
Phoebe Porter had run away from her family…from her fiancé…from her life.
Upon arriving in the dusty mining town of Ravenswood, Queensland, Australia, Phoebe was certain she was finally safe from all who wanted to rob her of everything she had…including her life. That was until she felt herself being swept up in the strong arms of a stranger…a stranger she would soon be surrendering her body and heart to.
An interview with Faye Hall
I am so glad you could join us here at Romance Junkies. To start, will you please tell us a little bit about your current projects? I’ve just been offered a contract for Heart of Stone, a tale about an Australian slave trader who falls in love with an Irish slave. I’m also half way through writing a seven book series about the indulgences of the soul.
When was the moment that you knew you had to be a writer? I’m not sure there was any one moment. Writing is just something I have always done. As a child I used to write poems and stories for my parents. I was in high school though when I got serious about writing after my English teacher told me I would never be able to write anything worth reading.
Who gave you the one piece of writing advice that sticks with you to this day? I was actually a quote a read that said a bad first draft is better than a blank page.
Describe the “perfect” hero. What about the “perfect” hero for you? I really enjoy writing brooding hero’s, the ones that fight against surrendering their hearts to a woman. They are my favorite to read also.
What are some of your favorite pastimes? Do you have any hobbies or collections? I enjoy gardening with my husband and cooking for my family.
If your fairy godmother waved her wand and whisked you away to the location of your choice, which place would you choose, and why? Ireland because my mother’s family is from there and it’s just such a pretty country.
When it comes to food, are you the adventurous type who will try anything once, or do you prefer to stick to tried and true foods and recipes? I tend to try more now then I used to several years ago, but there are just some things I can’t bring myself to try like raw octopus and sea urchins.
What is the one modern convenience that you cannot do without? I love my computer. I do all my writing on it and all my family photo’s live there too.
What is your idea of the ideal romantic evening? Sitting out the back of our little home with a glass of wine with my hubby.
How do you describe yourself? How would your family and friends describe you? I’m loud, blunt and loyal. My husband and children usually describe me similar too, though they all claim I’m lovely too.
What is your favorite comfort food? Shepard’s pie
What is your favorite season? What do you love about it? Autumn because it’s the most comfortable season here in North Queensland and it’s such a relief from our summer.

Phoebe Porter had run away from her family…from her fiancé…from her life.
Upon arriving in the dusty mining town of Ravenswood, Queensland, Australia, Phoebe was certain she was finally safe from all who wanted to rob her of everything she had…including her life. That was until she felt herself being swept up in the strong arms of a stranger…a stranger she would soon be surrendering her body and heart too.
This was to be the last job for bounty hunter, Duncan MacAllester. All he had to do was retrieve Phoebe Porter from Ravenswood and return her to her home of Inkerman Downs Station and to the fiancé awaiting her. If he could survive this last hunt for this woman then he would finally have the money he needed to reclaim his cattle station and retrieve his life.
When Duncan pulled Phoebe safely from the midst of a bar brawl, never could he have imagined this would be the beginning of one of the most dangerous journeys he had ever made…or the most passionate.
Together Duncan and Phoebe must face not only the unforgiving humidity of the North Queensland outback, but also the men that were sent after them to kill them both.
When Phoebe is ripped from his grasp by the abusive hands of her fiancé, Duncan follows her back to her hometown knowing that he would do anything to protect this woman…even if it cost him his life.
