Our Review

GONE WITH THE ROGUE by Amelia Grey is the second book in her new series First Comes Love. It can be read as a standalone book.

Julia Fairbright was widowed after her husband was lost when the Salty Dove sank. She and her young son, Chatwyn, live with her father-in-law, who is a Duke. He is extremely controlling on many levels on how Julia should live her life. The one thing Julia has is a girls’ school that she and a couple of her widowed friends have established. She spends time volunteering there.

Garrett Stockton, a successful shipping tycoon, is rumored to have a woman in every port. When really, his only mistress is the sea. That is until he meets the independent and lovely Julia.

Julia is in the park with her son when his butterfly net and part of her clothing become stuck on a tree branch. Garrett comes to her rescue. Julia and Garrett work together to find a way for her to safely move out of the Duke’s house with her son.

These two have a rough road to travel to their HEA. The author gives us a lovely spicy romance with an adventure and mystery attached.

I would definitely recommend GONE WITH THE ROGUE.
