Our Review

The latest Jayne Castle (Jayne Ann Krentz) futuristic tale takes place in Harmony, in Illusion Town. Hannah West wakes up in a hotel room with no memory as to how she got there, lying in bed next to a handsome stranger she…married?

And so begins Castle’s ILLUSION TOWN, an awesome caper filled with laughter, dust bunnies, a mystery, sexual tension, and suspense. Castle is a master of the genre, crafting intelligent and entertaining stories no matter what setting she puts them in. She perfectly paces the plot, building clues until the final, satisfying conclusion.

I found the Vegas-like Illusion Town to be fun and clever. The heroine, Hannah, thinks on her feet, and she’s someone to root for. The hero, Elias Coppersmith, is a mining heir with power just swirling beneath the surface. The pair are made for each other, and as the mystery unfolds, the romance deepens.

A definite addition to any keeper shelf, ILLUSION TOWN is a captivating tale that will entertain you for as long as it takes to burn through this fantastic futuristic story. Kudos to Ms. Castle/Krentz for continuing to thrill fans with her engaging reads. Now when can we find the next one?
