Our Review

STATE OF TERROR by Hilary Rodham Clinton and Louise Penny is a political suspense thriller.

Ellen Adams is the new Secretary of State for a new administration. After a disastorous trip to South Korea, Ellen returns home in disgrace. But her trip is soon forgotten when a bus explodes in London, and hours later in Paris, and a third in Germany.

Ellen’s son, Gil, would have died if not for Anahita Dahir, a young foreign service officer (FSO) on the Pakistan desk at the State Department. She receives a message with the time and bus number of the bombs. With information on the next bomb, Ellen manages to get her son off the bus before it explodes.

This is an edge of your seat political thriller with numerous twists and turns that will keep you reading late into the night and a budding romance between Ellen’s son, Gil, and Anahita Dahir. Loved this book and looking forward to the next one!
