Our Review

Emma Fletcher is headed back to Stonefall, the town she grew up in and where her mother still lives. Her car breaks down right outside of town and who should stop to help her but one of her old schoolmates. A tow truck is called and Tristan Banks is the driver, another former school mate. She was trying to sneak back into town, but that is blown now. The reason she came home was because she was brutally attacked by a man she knew and almost died. She wants to get back to her old life to try and forget about her nightmare. She needs to get a job, make some money and go hide where no one knows her.

Tristan Banks is a town hottie who Emma doesn’t need for a distraction. She has sworn off men since the brutal attack and doesn’t want the attraction she feels for Tristan. Emma needs a friend she can talk to and Tristan seems like the likely one. Tristan’s track record at saving girls has always ended in failure but there is something about Emma that makes him want to help her.

THE ENCHANTMENT OF EMMA FLETCHER is a very soul searching story of four friends who come together to help the one woman who they thought they had lost forever. L.D. Crichton is a new-to-me author, but I enjoyed her portrayal of her characters and their deepest secrets. Living through life’s cruelest events is a story worth reading.
