Our Review

TOUCH OF RED is book 12 in the Laura Griffin’s Tracer’s series, and it does not disappoint.

Brooke Porter is a crime scene investigator. While examining the gruesome scene of a murdered woman, she realizes there is evidence showing there might be a witness to the crime. What’s more concerning, the evidence shows this witness might be a child. This makes Brooke determined to put the puzzle pieces of this murder together and find and protect the child, who is probably in extreme danger.

Homicide Detective Sean Byrne is investigating the murder Brooke is assigned to. He has been attracted to Brooke for some time, but he is a by-the-book investigator and Brooke tends to work and think outside the box. Something that drives him more than a little bit crazy. However, he’s tired of fighting his feelings and determined to get closer to Brooke to see where their attraction leads.

This homicide brings up more questions than answers. Nothing makes sense. Because Brooke is so determined to get involved with the investigation, it has put her in extreme danger by someone who doesn’t want this crime solved. Sean is pulled in all directions as he tries to figure out what happened, but he also needs to keep his new lady safe.

TOUCH OF RED is an exciting read. I learn so much about advanced forensic science from reading Laura Griffin’s books. Every one has been an amazing read, and this one is no exception.

If you love to figure out puzzles, this is the book to read. The story is compelling and the characters are real people. I enjoyed this book so much I could not put it down.

A RECOMMENDED READ!
