Abbey MacMunn Interview

Touched by Abbey MacMunn

An interview with Abbey MacMunn.

I am so glad you could join us here at Romance Junkies. To start, will you please tell us a little bit about your current projects?

I’m working on two stories at the moment. A sci fi romance that’s been with me for four years – really must get that finished! – and the follow on to Touched, the second book in the Immortal Ties series.

When was the moment that you knew you had to be a writer?

Five years ago. I’d always had stories buzzing around my head, but this one particular character and her story would not shut up! I thought if I wrote it down I would stop thinking about her. The opposite happened – more stories, more intriguing plots and more interesting characters popped into my head and I caught the writing bug. Now there aren’t enough hours in the day to write them all down but I’ll get there – slowly.

What are some of your favorite pastimes? Do you have any hobbies or collections?

I like watching fantasy TV shows and movies -The Originals is one of my absolute favourites- and I like to read, sew and paint too.

If your fairy godmother waved her wand and whisked you away to the location of your choice, which place would you choose, and why?

It would have to be the Gili Islands, three tiny islands situated between Bali and Lombok. My hubby and I went there on our honeymoon – total bliss.

When it comes to food, are you the adventurous type who will try anything once, or do you prefer to stick to tried and true foods and recipes?

I do like to try new foods, but I always have to smell them first. If I don’t like the smell, I won’t touch it.

What is your idea of the ideal romantic evening?

An evening snuggled up with my hubby on a comfy sofa watching a good movie, or a really bad movie that we can laugh about.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!

What is your favorite season? What do you love about it?

Winter – as long as I don’t have to go out! Sub-zero temperatures and long dark nights outside, and roaring fires, gallons of tea and fluffy slippers inside.

Any place we can find you in person or on the net this month or next?

You can find me on Rachel Brimble’s blog on 7th July where I’ll be talking about my culinary disasters among other things. http://rachelbrimble.blogspot.co.uk/

On 16th July I’ll be guest blogging at Beyond Romance with Lisabet Sarai, talking about the inspiration behind Touched, and my favourite movies. http://lisabetsarai.blogspot.co.uk/

And if you haven’t had enough of me by then, I’ve got a few more things to share with Bewitching Book Tours starting on 18th July. www.bewitchingbooktours.com

Thanks, Abbey! And don’t miss Touched, Abbey’s upcoming release!

Touched

Blurb for Touched:

When inquisitive antique dealer Cami Wilson learns she’s the revered offspring of an immortal mother and a mortal father, it’s not just her hybrid status that has her all flustered. The title comes with her very own super-sexy guardian.

Jaded immortal Joseph Carlisle has only one thing on his mind; his sworn duty to protect the hybrid from those who wish her harm. Anything else would be complicated. That is until they meet.

Chemistry sizzles between them but there’s a problem—the hybrid’s curse. Cami’s touch, skin to skin, proves near fatal to her and all immortals, Joseph included.

But the fated lovers discover her curse is the least of their concerns when a friend’s deadly betrayal threatens to tear them apart forever.
