What is the Most Romantic Date, Ever?
I love mixing action and adventure into romance. In my latest release, Race to Redemption (Green Rising Book #1), the heroine and hero race from one life threatening situation to the next. While this works to save galaxies and build bonds between two folks with trust issues, it does not give our protagonists too much down time.
In a future book in the series, I would like to remedy that and take them on the most romantic date ever. Here are some of the ideas clunking around in my brain.
- Mutual massages with scented oils, warm stones and towels, and …
- An evening horseback ride with a picnic under the stars on the night of a meteor shower.
- A game of truth or dare (just think of those possibilities)
- Preparing a meal together, ending with chocolate fondue.
- An art project (to rival the scene with the potter’s wheel in Ghost).
- Something by water–waterfall, lake, pool. I personally can’t resist all the dripping.
- Designing personal scavenger hunts for each other, each item more sensual than the next. My imagination just reels with this one. I’m definitely leaning this way.
- Reading to each other their favorite books (maybe love scenes, maybe not).
- A day wine and chocolate tasting. This one always works.

Hello, I’m Shari. By day, I crawl out of bed, mainline coffee, walk the dog, get my kid off to school, hop on the metro, and save cities within the four walls of my office. Usually by email.
At night, the other Shari emerges.
