Author Interview:
Please tell us a little bit about your current projects?
My current WIP has a deaf heroine. It’s turning into a real challenge to write. I have to keep going behind myself to make sure I don’t accidentally slip and have her hear anything. But, I do love a challenge! I’m enjoying it.
When was the moment that you knew you had to be a writer?
Middle school. Writing helped me to stay sane during the teenage years. It was the only thing that really made me happy. I knew I had to keep it a priority in my life. It is my personal therapy.
What are some of your favorite pastimes? Do you have any hobbies or collections?
When I’m not writing, I’m reading! J I love to read a wide variety of genres and authors. I just finished Fear Nothing by Lisa Jackson. It was a phenomenal book, a truly psychological thriller.
What has been your biggest adventure to date?
I grew up at a camp resort. My parents managed it. I got to meet all kinds of people every summer and I had the best time! We had so many crazy and fun adventures, mostly using our imaginations. J
When it comes to food, are you the adventurous type who will try anything once, or do you prefer to stick to tried and true foods and recipes?
I will try anything and probably have tried most of everything. I love food! It’s really that simple, and that unhealthy. Lol
What is the one modern convenience that you cannot do without?
My kindle. When they first came out, I was sure I wouldn’t like it. I didn’t think I would ever enjoy reading from a screen. But, I’m addicted now. I love it, and I can’t live without it!
What is your favorite comfort food?
Chocolate. When I really need a treat, I will go out for a banana split. Yum!
What is your favorite season? What do you love about it?
Summer. I love everything about summer. I love that my son is out of school and we can spend time together. I love the heat. I love swimming and laying out. I love enjoying the outdoors. I just plain love it.
