Blurb:

It is a truth universally acknowledged that any writer, in possession of a beautiful idea, will have a bad day and need to mainline caffeine. Ok well, maybe not, but as writers ourselves we know that everyone has good and bad days. The most important thing is that you keep writing.

Author Interview:

please tell us a little bit about your current projects?

Well I’m currently in the midst of promo for The Journal and I am finishing up a rewrite of a former piece that was recently released back to me. Lot’s of fun on the horizon.

When was the moment that you knew you had to be a writer?

I have always been a writer. Since I was 12 and wanted to marry Poe…until my mom told me he was dead and I then I began to write scary stories.

Who gave you the one piece of writing advice that sticks with you to this day?

If you want to be a writer you have to write.

Describe the “perfect” hero. What about the “perfect” hero for you?

Kind and yet unyielding in his beliefs. I don’t so much need a beautiful hero he just has to have a nice butt. Other than that he also should be all about living his life and not making excuses for not living it.

What are some of your favorite pastimes? Do you have any hobbies or collections?

I cross stitch and fix antique typewriters. I have about 30 now.

What has been your biggest adventure to date?

I living in South Korea for awhile when I was in the Army that was somewhat unusual but I guess if I had to choose I’d say motherhood. It’s the one thing women fall into headfirst with absolutely nothing but other’s experience and their own intuition to guide them.

If your fairy godmother waved her wand and whisked you away to the location of your choice, which place would you choose, and why?

London always and forever. I figure if I ever want The Doctor to pick me up I should be there.

When it comes to food, are you the adventurous type who will try anything once, or do you prefer to stick to tried and true foods and recipes?

I will try things within reason. I have no desire to eat bugs just for the novelty.

What is the one modern convenience that you cannot do without?

A toilet lol. I guess I am pretty attached my GPS. My sense of direction is abysmal.

What is this romance writer’s idea of the “ideal romantic evening”?

Delicious food and scintillating and witty conversation.

How do you describe yourself? How would your family and friends describe you?

Strange and strange. I have a unique personality and it takes people some time to get that.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Tacos tied with tomato soup and grilled cheese.

What is your favorite season? What do you love about it?

Fall. The color. Everything is meant to be muted but the world turns into a riot of color produced by our own Earth. It’s beautiful and fascinating. I grew up in the Midwest so I can’t imagine a fall without the changing of the leaves.

What project are you working on next?

After these two are finished I plan to finish the second book in my Heart and Souls Trilogy, Sins and Lies.

Any place we can find you in person or on the net this month or next?
