I Love Happily-Ever-Afters

Good morning Romance Junkie Readers! First off, I want to thank the Romance Junkies’ staff for inviting me to share my little world with you today. I’ve had a busy few months with three new releases, and yes, they are all happily-ever-afters. There’s a lesson behind that statment. Several years ago I killed off one of main characters in a series, and boy, did I hear about it. So, rest assured, the books I’m about to tell you about end on a happy note, and not once did I feel the urge to “do in” my heroes or heroines.

Decadent DeceptionsI’m Keta Diablo and I write for four wonderful publishers: Siren Publishing, Ravenous Romance, Noble Romance and Phaze. This whirlwhind started when I finaled in the 2008 Molly Contest (erotica category) with Decadent Deceptions and it hasn’t stopped since. Here’s a little blurb from Decadent Deceptions released through Noble Romance, http://www.nobleromance.com.

About the book:

Daring and desperate to win Morgan’s love, Olivia Breedlove embarks on a reckless folly. Everything backfires when Morgan remains one step ahead of her and the game ventures down a path of duplicity and murder.

A decade ago, Morgan was a heartbeat away from taking Olivia’s virginity. Her father, Thaddeus, intervened and threatened to meet him over pistols if he so much as looked at his daughter again. But now, Thaddeus is dead and Morgan has no intention of ignoring the ravenous hunger he’s harbored for the blasted woman for ten years.

One way or the other, he will quench this burning desire and make her his forever.

And here’s what a reader had to say about the book recently:

I read this story not necessarily expecting a mixture of suspense and mystery. I was pleasantly surprised at what the author had in store. The relationship between the main characters was not only believable but riveting. I liked that the author wrote the scenes from several points of view so the reader is not left to their own conclusion vis a vis others’ perceptions. The twists and turns of the plot keep you guessing. A couple of times I thought I had it figured out only to find out I was wrong. The author writes a delightful love story of long-denied love that culminates in an mixture of mystery and devotion rarely seen.

 Simply an amazing book.

Land of Falling StarsMy second release at about the same time was Land of Falling Stars, an erotica historical, released by Ravenous Romance, http://www.ravenousromance.com. (Once Upon A Time category).

About the book:

Penniless, her parents and brother dead, Sophia Whitfield struggles to save her beloved childhood home during the Civil War. Another bluecoat is staggering down the hill, but before Sophia allows him to rob and pilfer like the others, she shoots him. How was she to know it was Gavin, the dark knight of her youth, carrying secrets too horrific to imagine and a passion that ignites her deepest desires?

As Sophia gradually discovers Gavin’s secrets and falls under his seductive charms, she struggles to know her own heart. Can she survive in the Land of Falling Stars, or will she lose it all to the horrors of the War and reconstruction? And will the Southern lady and the Yankee soldier be able to recapture the bliss of their youth – this time in each other’s arms?

Another reader review:

The author pens a story that is unlike any other. The characters are introduced as childhood friends who become adults with very complicated life experiences to deal with. The story takes place right after the Civil War when tensions run high on both sides. Emotions are tenuous at best and even more so when old relationships become new relationships. I was torn during the reunion scenes and breathless during the chase scenes. I loved all the substories and the minor characters that were such an integral part of the author’s vision. Land of Falling Stars makes you believe in the possibility of retribution and the hope of finding your brass ring in the last place you look.

Dust and MoonlightAnd the last book to be released on my whirlwind adventure was Dust and Moonlight by Siren Publishing, http://www.sirenpublishing.com. A time-travel/fantasy this book has it all, wizards, sorcery and magic, oh my!

About the book:

Balion, Prince of Locke Cress, waited a long time for the forest nymph with lavender eyes to come to him. The dreams told him it was just a matter of time. What they hadn’t told him was that he’d lose his heart to the strange creature from another world.

After the serial killer attacked Kira, she awoke in a strange land. Now, she’s running for her life from wild boars, wizards, and sorcerers, not to mention a Prince that makes her body melt in all the wrong places. Facing extraordinary circumstances as the evil plots unfold, Kira fights for her life, and for a love that neither time nor distance can ever dispel from her soul.

Reader Review:

A tale of love that knows no bounds, good versus evil, endearing characters and vivid imagery set in an extraordinary world. When gutsy psychological profiler Kira Barton, on the trail of a serial killer, is thrust from our current time to the mystical Locke Cress, I felt like I was transported with her. A kingdom of magic, where evil lurks & sorcerers, warriors & beasties abound.Keta Diablo brings characters to life, the extremely sexy Light-Prince Balion, Kira, named after the sun, Sirene the ethereal sorceress, loyal Jarlock & sweet Ainsley. Umargo, The Story Mage, Garrick & Gwenyth are portrayed and unveiled with the malevolence they’re due. The sexual tension between Kira & Balion was palpable, I couldn’t read fast enough to reach the inevitable outcome, which by the way was sizzling. Kira’s amusing banter had me giggling and the suspenseful plot was a nice surprise.* * * *So there you have it . . . three intriguing novels with happily-every-afters! I do hope you’ll take a minute to visit the publishers’ web sites and check them out.
