Miss Harlow’s Marriage In High Life
London, 1823
A handsome duke. His beautiful soon-to-be duchess. A whirlwind courtship. It is this author’s privilege to report on the event all of London is talking about: the upcoming wedding of the Duke of Hamilton and Brandon to the only daughter of the Duke of Richmond. Every details of the “Wedding of the Year” will be reported in these pages as a London Weekly exclusive.
But I, Miss Sophie Harlow, must confess to a secret infatuation with this “double duke” that can only lead to trouble. It is impossible that this notoriously upstanding gentleman would ever jilt his bride for a scandalous female newspaper writer. And yet…the arrival of a foreign prince, the discovery of a shocking secret, and one passionate kiss could change everything. Will this perfect duke risk the scandal of the year to marry the woman his heart desires?
There are only just three more weeks until the wedding…

Congratulations Lois and to all the other winners.
One of the winners above is an overseas winner. Which means RJ will be sending out to her a book from the RJ book vault as a replacement prize. Something we do whenever the publisher specifies they want to only send out to US/ Canada winners. Because at RJ we like to let anyone enter our contests for a chance of winning ;-).
So I have gone back to the custom online number generator and picked one more winner for the publisher.
Congrats ## 8 Lois M.

Maya has an awesome blog with all kinds of info about her release etc. – including a little interactive London Newspaper for it.
I read on Maya’s bio page that it was her mom that made her read her first romance book when she was in college.
She has a very cool mom.
Hope I’m in time for this contest! Maya has a free novel on her website titled ‘Darcy Darlington and the Diamond of Desire’ for all to enjoy. And it is an excellent story too.
She set her self up in london for the summer as part of her grad school program.while in london she also visited bath
A Groom Of One’s Own is going on my TRL. I loved the excerpt I read on another blog. I was delighted to see she co wrote a book with her Mom called : It’s My Pleasure: A Revolutionary Plan to Free Yourself from Guilt and Create the Life You Want.

I thought that Maya Rodale was a debut author and found out that she was actually published in 2007 with The Heir and the Spare…who knew 🙂 Anyways, A Groom of One’s Own looks very tempting and would be absolutely thrilled to get my hands on an ARC!
Her Dog, Penelope, Really looks like a fox. A cute fox ! 🙂
well, She’s a Shiba Inu, which is a Japanese breed.
Well, I’ve been there before, so it was familiar. . . but did discover I did not already friend her Facebook page, and sure love looking at that cover every time I see it! LOL 🙂
Lois
Her family owns Rodale Inc., the biggest private publisher of health and wellness books and magazines. I guess publishing is in her blood. *G*
Ooh, this book sounds sooo good!
I love that she wrote a book titled ” The Heir and the Spare”.. as they call Prince William and brother Prince Henry…. cute.
I love the fact her mother MADE her read romances!!!! And also she has co-authored a book with her mother!!!! Her books look lovely! Can’t wait to have a chance at reading them 🙂
She loves to cook but is terrible at baking. Her dog Penelope can do some cool tricks. 🙂

I really enjoyed reading about her road to being published, interesting and entertaining. I also liked this point on her ‘Ten things about……’
6. Some of my overused phrases are: “studies have shown,” “suck it up buttercup”, “my momma says…”, and “Penelope leave it! I mean it Penelope, get OFF the table!”
Hehe!!!

I found it interesting that there’s a degree in women and fiction! What school is that? I see a second degree in my future…
I found it interesting that her mother made her start reading romance and she co-wrote a book with her mother! Love the cover of this book and would love to read it.
