The Newlywed Game with Noah Winters, Duke of Anselm and his bride Lady Thea

What is your spouse’s most prized possession?

Thea: I think His Grace might say, my trust is his most prized possession.

Noah: Your honesty, too, my love.

My heart is Her Grace’s most prized possession.

Thea: You see what I have to put up with?

Has your spouse ever had a pet?

Thea: He still does, an aging steed by the name of Regent who can still give an excellent account of himself early on a cool autumn morning.

 Noah: Like his owner.

Her Grace has stolen my cat, if that counts. The dratted creature now treats my side of the bed as if it were the Dartmoor bogs–the cat, that is.

Thea: He steals covers, and ladies must stick together against such perfidy.

If you were deserted on an island, what three things would your spouse want?

Thea: Our family, his wits, and a means of making fire.

Noah: If you were there, you can do the thinking for us, my dear, and then my list could include a sharp knife. As for the fire… we make that together regularly, do we not?

Thea would want her family with her, weapons with which to defend the little ones, and probably her music box.

Thea: I’d have you to defend us, Anselm, what need would there be for weapons?

What will your wife say was an interesting bit of information that she heard about from your family?

Noah: My sisters probably filled Her Grace’s ears with all manner of balderdash. Her Grace, being sensible, believed none of it.

If your husband had to be single again, temporarily, how long do you think he would say: 1 minute, 1 day, 1 month, or 1 year?

Thea: The length of time would only matter in so far as it affected the legitimacy of our children. In every other respect, the mere fact of a legal union would have no impact on our…. dealings.
