While the cat's away contest... by Delilah Devlin

I’m away at Lora Leigh’s Readers Appreciation Weekend (RAW 2008), but I pre-posted this to make sure I wouldn’t miss spending time with you.

I’ve been running a contest on my blog while I’m gone. The rules are as follows:

This contest runs Thursday through Monday. You may post as often as you like but only one entry will count each day. And the rules are easy. I’ll post a question; you post an answer on my blog (and here at Romance Junkies today!).

The prize will include a tote filled with books I scarf up at RAW and gifts from the writers attending the event. Take a look at the amazing list of authors who will be attending and get your appetites whetted for a great prize!

Today’s question:

If you had the time and money and could go on any month-long summer adventure of your choice, what would you choose to do?

Saw your contest mentioned in the group newsletter, and decided to check this site out.

In answer to today’s question, if I had enough money and a month to do so, I would love to go to Israel, Greece and Italy and see all the historic sites and museums (I know that it would probably take a minium of a month for each country). I would love to see all the historic sites that are slowly erroding away, before they become a thing of the past, as they are deterrating at a faster rate now, than they ever have in the past – most likely due to a lot of things that are aiding in global warming. I want to see where some of my ancestors came from (Israel) and where the basis for a lot of other history came from (Greece and Italy). Most of my other ancestory is German, so a side trip to Germany would be great. I would love to go and see if there is any mention of my dad’s family is left in Germany – I know that he and my uncles said that we still had family living there, but not one of them left addresses or names of those that were living when they passed. I know that my grandparents and several of the friends that they had here came from the same area of Russia that they all escaped from and that we still had family living there, but again no addresses or names on those that are still living there. So with enough money could really track them down. We have family members who do the geneology searches, but they haven’t been able to track either, on the living. I would love to pass this on to my nephews and niece and my great-nieces as something that they could hang onto.
